Questions about the Aurelius marketplace

Here you will find clear answers on how our secondary market works – from share selection and pricing through to custody and settlement.

We focus on positions where a seller is looking for an orderly exit and where there is a clear investment case for new buyers. Typical examples are pre-IPO, post-IPO or special-situation holdings where Aurelius or its partners are already involved. Every share is screened with regard to documentation, corporate actions and expected liquidity before it is shown on the platform.

Prices are based on current market information (where available), most recent transaction levels and issuer-specific factors. For less liquid instruments we work with indicative price corridors. In all cases you will see a transparent buy and sell level before you place an order, and no order is executed without your explicit confirmation.

Many positions on the platform are linked to specific milestones – for example an IPO window, a refinancing or a planned corporate action. We therefore recommend viewing them with a medium-term horizon. Your Aurelius contact can explain the typical scenarios and time frames for a given share so you can align it with your own strategy.

Execution, custody and settlement are carried out via our regulated banking and custody partners. After a transaction you see the position in your regular custody account, receive contract notes and can export all data for your own reporting. Corporate actions, dividends and redemptions are processed in the same way as for your other listed securities.

Yes. You can request partial executions or work with us to define a target size and corridor. Especially in less liquid names it is often sensible to move in stages. We coordinate your instructions with available counterparties and keep you informed about progress rather than pushing size onto the market.

The marketplace is designed for professional and semi-professional investors who are comfortable with equity risk and who value structured access to special situations. If you are unsure whether a concrete opportunity fits your profile, we will walk you through the documentation, risk factors and potential exit routes so you can decide calmly and well-informed.

Operational details for trading with Aurelius

A brief overview of cut-off times, ticket sizes, currencies and documentation – so you know exactly how the operational side of each trade works.

Cut-off times depend on the underlying venue and the settlement cycle of the respective security. As a rule of thumb, instructions received before the early afternoon (CET/UK time) can typically be executed for same-day processing, while later instructions are booked for the next available settlement day. Your contact will confirm the exact timing for each trade before you commit.

Many opportunities on the Aurelius marketplace are linked to larger blocks, therefore minimum tickets often start in the mid five-figure range. In addition, some issuers or sellers require a defined minimum allocation per investor. We will indicate clearly which minimum sizes apply and, wherever possible, structure allocations so that you can scale in or out in reasonable steps.

Standard settlement currencies are EUR, GBP and USD. For certain issuers additional currencies may be available via our banking partners. If your base currency differs, your house bank can usually handle the FX conversion as part of the payment flow. On request, we can coordinate settlement instructions together with your treasury or back-office team.

Core documentation is normally available in English. Depending on the issuer and jurisdiction, selected documents may also be provided in German, French or Spanish. Before you invest, you receive an overview of all relevant documents and can request additional summaries or explanations, so that language is never a hurdle to taking a well-informed decision.
